An independent nonprofit
Collegiate Penetration Testing Competition Ltd. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed to steward and grow CPTC over the long term. What started at the Rochester Institute of Technology has become a global program, and incorporating as an independent nonprofit lets the competition scale beyond any single institution.
How the org relates to the competition
The nonprofit provides governance, finances, and continuity. A volunteer board sets direction, while competition teams, led by a Competition Director, design and deliver each season. Sponsors and volunteers make the whole thing possible.
